Hi,
I logged in through the browser. I reverted back to the older version (V1.1.0.78_1.0.1), which brought the NAS back in the list of Attached Devices. While not a great solution, I guess this'll have to do for now...

Did you try the usual trick of rebooting the NAS?

Yes, tried rebooting the NAS multiple times, tried turning on/off the router, without any result.

Thought so. I only mentioned it because I find that ReadySHARE has a habit of losing things until I unplug and reconnect. But that's USB. Ethernet NAS seems to survive firmware updates.
Sadly, "attached devices" seems to be an area where Netgear needs to pay some attention. New firmware has a habit of breaking it. Maybe it has done the same thing to the NAS support.
