R6400 - firmware update?

Where are you looking? There is a new firmware hotfix.
If you visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
you can feed in your model number and find the documentation for your hardware.
It will also have any firmware and drivers for your device.
Look for the model number on the label on the device.
It's on that webpage that you showed in your post. It was added today.
Those early firmware releases will not show in the "app" interface or even in the browser graphical user interface.
New firmware usually ends up on the support pages before it hits the update server.
That's why it is a good idea to check them for your devices.
