It connects to a UBEE DDW36C modem

Have you placed the ubee in modem only mode?
Or tried the netgear in access point mode?

I am trying to pu the modem inmodem mode only. I can log in to the Ubee but when I click on advanced->administration tab i do not see anywhere to put it in only modem mode.

I found an area in the UBEE to disable the radio for both 2.4 and 5ghz But am still receiving the lost link error.

Disabling 2.4ghz and 5ghz doesn't disable the ubee's router functions. It just shuts off the wifi.
you can try putting the router in access point mode.

Router is in access point more but still receive "lost link" error.
- plemansJan 19, 2021Guru - Experienced UserIf the R6400 is in access point mode, the ubee is controlling everything else. that's all routed to the ubee . It means the ubee is whats blocking the connection.

Well, I guess it just will not work for me anymore.

Try changing the dns server in the ubee.
Or you can contact your ISP for help putting the Ubee in bridge/modem only mode.
