R6400v2 reboot loop - firmware fail

Thanks for your reply.  I have seen all your comments in many other threads and followed everything you had to say and many other. 

• AC1750 Model R6400v2
• on power on it runs through all the lights, basically the all come on and then turn off,  and then the power light comes on solid for about 10 seconds and then it flashes, thats it.  if i plug a computer in i get white light of the port it is plugged into. 
• windows TFTP is exactly as the Netgear says to do it and it successfully uploads.  tftp -i 192.168.1.1 put R6400v2-V1.0.4.98_10.0.71.chk
• You had mention in another thread that if it did not take you may have to try again and experiment to catch it at the right time. 

when trying to follow the directions of the reset right before the put command i can hold the rest down for 10 seconds power it up and continue to hold reset but then it will just continue to go in to resetting it does not come back to a flashing light like it says it should do 10 times before letting off reset.
