R6700 Disconnecting periodically.

Sadly, no. I tried everything I could think of outside of buying a new router.
Recently, it was fixed. Lease Obtained on the modem settings is now set to 4 days and when it renews it doesn't drop internet. I didn't do anything to change this, so I can only assume it was on Xfinity's side and they finally fixed it.

Doea the Internet LED on the reouter change color when this happens?
Ensure the LAN cable between the modem and router is of good quality. CAT6 is recommended.
After you factory reset the router and setup from scratch, have you powered OFF the ISP modem for 1 minute then back ON?

LED changes to solid amber
Used CAT6, CAT5e (came with the router)
Powered off both, same result.
