R6700 Firmware Version 1.0.2.10 - Hot Fix - This firmware file is incorrect!
So I see that Netgear released a hot fix on 7/2/20 to patch these things: PSV-2019-0296, PSV-2020-0001, 0009, 0108, 0118, 0119 ZDI-CAN-9642, 9643, 9618, 9703, 9756, 9767, 9768 I downloade...
So I rebooted the router and tried the very latest firmware update again. It worked this time for some reason. Go figure. Thanks for the assistance!

"verified" _how_, exactly? Look for "Model" on the product label?
What is its current firmware version?
I confirmed it by looking at the model number sticker on the botton of the router (see attached screenshot) and on the Admin page when logged in. The current firmware version installed is V1.0.2.8_10.0.53
It worked for me.
