(R6700) Not connecting to internet

I don't have much experience in this, but I set the Nighthawk R6700 router up first at one location, then moved it to another location and for some reason it won't connect to the modem at this new location and get internet. I had no issues with setup at the first location. Does anyone know why this would happen or the best way to proceed?

    How are you connecting it through to the 2nd location? 
    Is it a direct connection from the modem to the router?
    or is there switches/devices in the middle? 

    What modem/gateway do you have? 

    firmware on the router?
