I go through charter spectrum and use the modem that they gave me. I just got a new one today hoping that would solve the issue. I have no idea what firmware is on the router as I haven’t been able to get it to fully set up in the app. It keeps saying that the cables are connected but there’s no internet connection. I’ve done a full power cycle I have spent money and a whole lot of my precious time. I’m very frustrated as I bought the router today from a third party still new and in the box. Hoping all I had to do was hook it up and go through the steps in the application but that is not the case. All of the lights are white except the internet one is orange on my router. My modem says that internet is active and my IP said that the modem was functioning properly. Net gear Tech support won’t help me without wanting money. I’m at very stuck spot as to what can be causing this to happen.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

You can find the NG routers FW version on it's web page at 192.168.1.1 in a web browser.
Can you look at the modem and see any markings or stickers under the modem for brand and mode information?
