R6700v2 Buffer bloat How can we fix this ? Can we get SQM or QOS that works like it ?

I get a lot of buffering problems sometimes with this router as it builds up buffering bloat . I tested it on www.waveform.com  and got this result --- > https://www.waveform.com/tools/bufferbloat?test-id=dbe7a7ce-11c6-4859-acdd-3b91f20bf0f6

The buffering added 67ms to download and 47ms to upload  and base start ms pin was 42ms . I've seen the buffering lots worse as tested on http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest  with added buffer going as high as 200 to 300ms and got an F for bufferbloat .

Your QOS is way outdated and has AOL and other programs that are over 10 years old in it . I wanted to maybe try another firmware that has SQM in it like Tomato,DDWRT or OpenWrt to fix the buffer problem but the chipset in this model doesn't work well with them. I read OpenWrt might have firmware for this model but it's not easy to install .

Any way to fix settings in the OLD QOS setup of this router to help with bufferbloat ?

What speeds do you pay for?

What modem/gateway do you have it connected to?

have you tested your buffer bload directly connected to the modem/gateway?

I pay for 100mb down and 10mb up and i get more than that but the buffering gets really bad . The modem is what Spectrum gave me and is a Hitron e31t2v1 Docsis 3.1 . I tried connecting my line directly to the modem but i get no connection and windows 10 wouldn't fix it . I think spectrum made it so i have to go through my router  or i just have to restart that modem and have my line connected to it instead of the netgear router. Spectrum Advanced Voice Modem User Guide - Manuals+

I turned QOS off in the router and now getting a little better connection but also i added in cloudfare's free dns in settings of the router  1.1.1.1 and that helped the ms ping buffering some but still over 100ms ping down added together with local and streaming buffer .

Netgear Firmware just isn't good enough to get rid of buffering problems at least not in this model. It doesn't have enough options .  I can change upload to buffer a little in settings of QOS but there are no settings for download buffering to tweak for this router .

disconnect everything from the modem and reboot it.

        Then connect a pc.

        Try it that way
