R6700v3 - 2.4GHz network loses internet connectivity, 5GHz network works fine
This has been going on for quite a while. Immediately after a reboot, all internet connectivity works fine. But after a little while (within a day at most), any devices connected to the 2.4GHz network can no longer access the internet, while those connected to the 5GHz network continue to work fine. Devices on both networks can successfully talk to each other, however.
The networks have different names (Foo and Foo-5G), which I gather is necessary on this router.
Any suggestions as to what might be going on and how to fix it?

Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?Is Smart Connect enabled or disabled on this router?
What channels are you using? Auto? Try Auto and 48 on 5Ghz. Or try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.

If so, how many?- wrdicksonAspirantI’m not sure what happened to my first response — I won’t repeat it all, but long story short is that I had already tried most of that (I used to work for an ISP, so those were all instructions I had given many times myself), and the couple things I hadn’t already tried didn’t help.
I factory reset the router this weekend and set everything up from scratch. This time I named the two networks differently enough that I could be confident it wasn’t trying to do Smart Connect stuff (though I’m pretty sure the r6700 can’t anyway). As usual, worked fine for a few hours, and then the 2.4GHz network stopped communicating with the outside world.
So then I disabled the guest networks and restarted the router. It’s been up and running without incident for about 36 hours, which is much better than it’s done in a long time. We’ll see if that continues.- FURRYe38Guru - Experienced User
So you had Guest Network enabled and the main 2.4Ghz SSID stopped working after a short period of time. Now you have Guest Network disabled and the main 2.4Ghz SSID is working now?
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
