michaelkenward - Thanks for the reply. I do not want to use the router's "Get Automatically from ISP" setting to specify which DNS server to use. Instead, I want to use 208.67.222.222 as the primary DNS server and 208.67.220.220 as the secondary DNS server, both of which I have read are provided by OpenDNS and both of which are also at the bottom of the OpenDNS web home page Cloud Delivered Enterprise Security by OpenDNS
I just want to make sure, before installing the available Netgear router update, that I will still be able to use the above DNS servers even though one of the router update release notes is "Removed OpenDNS support."

Like I said, the setting for the Domain Name Server (DNS) has nothing to do with OpenDNS.
You can easily apply the new firmware update and if you have lost an important setting you can revert to the firmware version you have now.
In any case, whatever you do it would also be a good idea to save a backup of your current configuration. The manual tells you how to do that.

Thanks for confirming that I can revert back to my current firmware version if something goes wrong with the firmware update and for suggesting that I save a backup of my current router configuration.
