Original post was in 2022. I am having this problem in 2024 with an R6700 (probably not even v3), purchased sometime before mid-2017.
I tried to contact Netgear support, but they refuse to allow any communications from anyone who has not registered their product by serial number. Netgear's website offers a page on which I should be able to register my R6700, but when I enter the requested data, the dialog box adds a message saying that the site cannot do that, and I should try back later. Same thing happens when I try back later.
So, it's pretty clear that Netgear prefers to ignore the bugs in their firmware, rather than fix them, given that nobody has reported not having this problem with their R6700s.
Also, I saw that some people had managed to workaround the faulty "attached devices" reports by using the Nighthawk app to obtain that info. However, while the Netgear website offers a button to press to download the Netgear Genie app for my old R6700, that button leads to a "dmg" file (I'm on an iMac), that is actually just a text file containing the letters "NETGEAR".
I think my next router will probably be one of the other brands that has not yet fired its developers and QA personnel to coast on their faded glory. Not sure yet which brand that might be. At one time, Linksys was producing routers, and providing hardware and firmware documentation for them, so that technically adept users could modify and/or fix the firmware themselves. I doubt that feature survived Cisco's acquisition of Linksys 21 years ago, and I'm not sure how useful it ended up being.

Also, the Netgear website just asked me to complete a post-visit questionnaire. However, when I got to the last (?) question (how satisfied were you with your visit today?), the controls were deactivated (grayed out), and the page hung.
Just another indication of how little Netgear actually values its customers anymore.

One last comment, that might actually be helpful as a workaround: On the R6700 (don't know about v2 or v3), follow these steps to (maybe) finding all attached and/or allowed devices:
1) On Home page: Click Advanced.
2) Click Security in left-side toolbar, to drop down the Security options.
3) Click Access Control.
On my AC page, I see 9 devices, several of which have "--" as their name, with one of the devices having 2 different MAC addresses with the same IPv4 address.
It ain't great, but its better for finding WiFi leeches than the actual "Attached Devices" page.
