R6700V3 with firmware V1.0.4.128 WiFi issues
Recently updated to V1.0.4.128 and have had issues with connections lost to the 2.4Ghz WiFi and also the 2.4Ghz WiFi slowing to a crawl. Reboot fixed it each time, but very annoying. Wired connection...

Problem has been resolved by disabling WMM (Wi-Fi multimedia) for 2.4GHz b/g/n. This has the downside that some wireless clients, especially Intel chip based, will slow the connection to 54Mbps. Luckily, my 5Ghz Wi-Fi didn't have an issue, so WMM for 5GHz was left enabled.
I've seen other posts about Netgear's WMM feature causing serious issues, but it didn't cause problems for me until the resent firmware update. If anyone from Netgear looks at these messages, I hope WMM gets fixed.

Thanks for the suggestion, but this seems to be a very unlikely solution.
It seems a bit odd to refuse to try a fix that is known to work in a lot of circumstances.
While it isn't guaranteed to fix problems a factory reset is the first thing to try if you have issues with new firmware.
Maybe you don't like the idea of having to set the thing up again.
If that is he reason, there is a way to reduce the agony.
You can reduce the hassle of reconfiguring all those settings by creating a backup of your settings before you reset. Then if something is still broken after the reset, and the new firmware has not fixed it, you can restore the device to its pre-reset state.
You could even try restoring the settings even if the new firmware has fixed your issue, but be prepared for the restore to also bring back your problems.

You could try downgrading back to the old firmware. That why you still retain the modest performance of the 2.4ghz band.
