R6900 extremely slow download speeds

The problem I am having is extremely slow download speeds. I pay for verizon 75/75 and I have a quantum router. I set up the netgear router as acess point to provide wifi to a part of the house that'...

    Check the link speed between the quantum and 6900. If the link speed is dropping, then it sounds like a cable issue, irregardless if it works with the laptop. You can also try moving the the Ethernet cable on the 6900 from the WAN to the LAN port, and re-test..

    Thank you, I can't believe that actually worked...I switched the ethernet cord from the WAN to the LAN and everything is working perfectly. How does that fix it?

      Could be a failing cable, or a cheaper quality. Happy to hear it worked out for you..
