R6900P ROUTER: I keep getting firmware upgrade notices, but then Nighthawk app says there are none.

Question

For the second or third time in the past coiuple of years, I received an email purportedly from Netgear telling me there was a "security" firmware update for my router.&nbsp; When I went to the Nighthawk app on my tablet, however, I was told there were no updates.&nbsp; Was this a "phisihing" email, or don't I need the update - or does the Nighthawk app have a problem?

Which firmware version are you on?&nbsp;You can see the versions on the support site to compare.https://www.netgear.com/support/product/R6900P.aspx&nbsp;the emails sent out aren't always the most accurate.&nbsp;
