R6900p with DD-WRT install

I'm curious if there's any specific install steps/builds/gotchas people have on their R6900P with DD-WRT (not opposed to another 3rd party fw, though i'm more familiar with DD-WRT).

Can i just flash the dd-wrtv2 netgear-r7000P/factory-to-dd-wrt chk file directly from the Netgear web GUI?

I'm currently on netgear 1.3.2.134

    Something to ask and refer to over on the DD-WRT forums and support pages regarding there FW.

    It is best to ask this on the DD-WRT forums. This forum is a community one for the official NG firmware

      I step in only to add a warning that progress if you are installing third party firmware, make a careful note of the process needed to get back to the official firmware. Do that before you install.

       

      You won't get much help with that here either. People who turn up here with that issue also get redirected to the support for their firmware.
