R6900v2 - trying to connect a security camera to 2.4
I am trying to connect security cameras that require the 2.4 ghz. I have tried connecting the Roku Indoor SE camera but it won’t connect. HELP!

Recommend you disable smart connect. This will give you a different and distinct SSID for both the 2.4 GHz band and the 5 GHz band.
Recommend you disable 20/40 coexistence. In general, items in the IoT world cannot take advantage of or need the 40 MHz wide channel.
Recommend you manually set the 2.4 GHz channel to 6 or 11. The auto function can interact poorly with some IoT devices.
Make certain you have turned off the cell data connection on your smart phone and connect to the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band before you start your camera configuration application.
The authentication method is fine at WPA2. If you still fail to connect to your camera, you might try setting this to NONE on a temporary basis. Check if you can connect. Do not leave it at NONE for long term.

As an addendum. Your Zhone XDSL 4 port is a combination modem/Wi-Fi router. Do you have it configured in bridge mode so as not to interfere with the routing function of your R6900v2?

No. I honestly have no idea how to do that.

You do not want two routers connected to the same local network with both of them attempting to perform routing functions. This configuration is referred to as double NAT and here is just the start of why it is bad: https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-double-NAT-and-why-is-it-bad
One option is to disable the router function of your Zhone XDSL. This is often referred to as bridge mode or modem only mode. You are going to have to do your own research to accomplish this task on your Zhone XDSL. It is beyond the scope of this Netgear forum.
A second option is to configure your R6900v2 as a wired access point and connect it via Ethernet cable to your Zhone XDSL router. This disables some of the functions of the R6900v2 as described here: https://kb.netgear.com/000061927/What-is-the-difference-between-router-mode-and-AP-mode
Here is a description of how to set your R6900v2 to operate as an access point. https://kb.netgear.com/30025/I-m-setting-up-my-Nighthawk-router-for-the-first-time-how-do-I-set-it-to-Access-Point-AP-mode

It would be helpful to others, if you clearly identified which of "Those suggestions" worked. Then mark this thread as resolved.
Copy and paste works fine in this format.
