R7000 - Have to restart router often

I believe that how it is now. Wifi is disabled on the Xfinity modem and it is in "bridge mode" to the Netgear. Netgear is the AP for all my devices. It seemed to work fine until I upgrade to a 1TB capacity modem with Xfinity and now it just stops working every month or so.

Netgear is the AP for all my devices.----If the netgear is in AP (access point mode), the xfinity device isnt in "bridge mode" or nothing would be managing dhcp/nat. Your internet woudn't work. You might need to look through your settings on both devices again to see what's actually setup. It seemed to work fine until I upgrade to a 1TB capacity modem with Xfinity and now it just stops working every month or so.
What actual modem is it?
Modem is ARRIS TG3482G. I updated the firmware to the version you suggested and waited a while to see if that worked. I had to reboot the Netgear a few days ago when it just seemed to stop working again / freeze up. I don't have to completely reset the router, powering off and them back on makes everything work again. When that happens, my devices are still detecting the wifi signals, but no traffic goes through. Roku and wireless home cameras no longer work and other wireless devices cannot open web pages.
I just looked back at your recommendation and realized I did not do a factory reset. If I do that, I am assuming I will have to re- setup all of my networks and reconnect all devices?
Would I be better off changing to an xfinity 1Gbps / xfinity approved router & modem combination and stop renting the Xfinity modem altogether?

Try the factory reset and if it doesn't help, try downgrading the firmware.
