R7000 address reservation not working as expected for attached devices

The Virgin Media Hub 3.0 is configured as a modem only, with IP address 192.168.100.1.
From installation I have configured the R7000 with the IP address 192.168.0.1, as a DHCP server serving addresses in the range 192.168.0.2-254.
There are no other active DHCP servers on the network, although there are three other devices that could act that way. But they are all configured as access points, with DHCP service turned off.
What happens if you set the default DHCP IP address range to 192.168.1.100 to .200?
