R7000 and ATT Uverse / Internet very slow

My ATT Uverse (BGW 210-700) shows > 900 at the gateway, but a speed test for the Nighthawk R7000 shows only ~300. Very frustrating. 

Based on some articles, I have already:

  1. switched off Wifi on the ATT device
  2. switched on 'Passthrough' on the ATT devie
  3. set NAT filtering under WAN to 'open'
  4. turned off QoS
  5. turned off traffic meter

Nothing has worked so far..

Any idea what is happening?

    have you tried leaving the ATT device in router mode (wifi off) and the netgear in access point mode?ATt devices aren't known for their passthrough to function properly unless setup exactly right
