R7000 can't find SSID to connect
I've tried resetting the router multiple times. I've clicked the wifi button. I don't have access to a computer with ethernet right now.

That's what I meant. I pressed that button for two seconds.
The 2.4GHz and 5GHz indicator lights are on.
I've reset the router doing a 30-seconds holding the reset button while powered on, 30 seconds continued holding while off, and 30 seconds while plugging the power back in.
And I also did a simple 7 second reset. It's gone through rebooting.

Is the LED that is part of that button illuminated before or after?

Only illuminated during pressing it. Blinks a few times while holding. No, not before or after.
Actually I just got one of this same router last week but had to return it since an antenna broke during shipping. The next seller didn't see my message and also sent it and an antenna broke and the plug sank in again also.
The other R7000 booted up fine. Had to return it.
I'm keeping this one, but now I'm hoping it'll even function.

I would have to conclude you have a bad unit.

Not sure when I'll get a device with ethernet to check it more.
Alright. I just needed a new router. Maybe if you have any recommendations. I had an old Buffalo brand router but am missing an antenna. So I could just take one off of this. I wouldn't mind one that can do custom firmware, but mostly just anything stable.
The Buffalo router isn't even a wireless N router. Not sure if it matters unless I do a lot of local network or some really fast internet connection and any good servers.
