Why not use the PiHole for DHCP. Mine works well for DNS and DHCP.

Hi, thank u for your reply. Yes I have it set up like this now. However I still would like to get the AP to do the dhcp.

  Last I knew an AP cannot do DHCP. Only a router or other DHCP source such as PiHole.
