Do you have auto-update enabled? If so, it might have bricked your router.
Have you tried a TFTP recovery? https://kb.netgear.com/000059633/How-do-I-upload-firmware-to-my-NETGEAR-router-using-a-TFTP-client-on-Microsoft-Windows

I don't think I had auto-update enabled, not entirely sure.
Windows isn't allowed in my house, but I'm sure I can find tftpd for Linux and try that. I'm dubious it'll work since the laptop thinks the cable is unplugged. Will let you know.

If you can get a new power adapter, try that first.
If after the power adapter doesn't resolve this, try a 30-30-30 reset on the router. Might kick it out of it's bad state. If that or TFTP even fails, then the router just may be bad and needs replacing.- microchip8Jan 02, 2023Master30-30-30 reset doesn't work on ARM-based routers. Only MIPS ones.
