R7000 doesnt meet half of what my wifi spwed should be.
Ive changed channels, upgrades QoS, eliminated wifi from base modem/router and nothing. Of the 50 mbs Im suppposed to see, I only get, if lucky 20. At an average, I see 10. Are there otuer tweaks I ca...

If you've been changing the attached device (router or PC) that connects to the modem you'll have a problem connecting as the modem is looking for a specific MAC Address.
Here is what you need to do:
- POWER all PC's, the ROUTER, and the MODEM OFF
- Next power ON the MODEM and wait for it to come on line (lights all basically on, but some might flash), a few minuted maybe depending on the modem.
- Next power ON the router and wait for it to fully come up, again, a few minutes.
- Next the PC and all the wireless to connect, the wired ones will automatically.
That should fix it.

IRVSp, you knocked it out the ball park by suggesting I reconnect the PC to the router. Once I did that, everything else fell in place. All is back to normal with the exception of the wifi speed. It still under 10 mps. HOw can I gbet that back to at least normal is not better?

Again, the only REAL test is via a cable from the PC to the Router and doing a speed test there.
Wireless may or may not reach the maximum speed. Things like Network Adapter speed type (AC/N/G/B/A) all play into this. Distance does too, as well as the channel it is on as well as the Security Setting and Wireless settings.
Work on the WIRED PC to ROUTER first, then explore the Wireless situation.
Now what does the WIRED PC to ROUTER report? If it IS low, power off the modem, router and PC, take the cable out of the router from the PC and plug that into the modem. Power up the modem and let it fully come up. Then the PC and after it is fully up test the speed.
Are they the same or different?

Wired speeds in the r7000 are same as the replaced 6300. I have all the same exact settinga on the r7000 as I had on the 6300. I thought the 3 antennas wouls improve range and speed but it is actually worst. Widi speed test is approximately 15 ft ftom the router on the same floor and doors wide open.

Can you provide some specific info?
OK, the speeds of the 2 routers are the same, I assume wired, what is it? 50Mbps?
As for wireless, the antennea's on the router may provide better signal, but if the other end can't handle that, it doesn't make much difference. So, what is at the other end? Wireless adapter make and model please. What speed is it. What band are you using? What channel(s)? What is the security set to? Is WMM on? Is QoS off?
Do you know if there are other wireless signals around and do they interfere? Probably not easy to tell without a program to check that though, get THIS PROGRAM and it will scan for SSID and Channels used near you. If you are near another signal, switch channels to an open area.
