Maybe there was a silent firmware upgrade while you were asleep.
Have you tried to do anything to fix your problems?

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.
That page will also have any software, firmware and drivers for your device, if they exist.
Check the section in the manual on updating the firmware.
I had the same problem. It occured about 6pm CST.
The router simply stopped and the original default SSI signal appeared. It has been dropping the wifi for some time, and I was about to buy a new router (this one has been working basically flawlessly since 2016) until I came across this forum.
I'm going to roll back to .42 and hope that fixes it. This is incredible that Netgear rolled out a firmware update that is causing so many problems. I'm going to update the firmware, factory reset it, and then turn off auto updates. It was working fine, and I'm not a big fan of updates when something isn't broken.
How many other people had their router reset out of the blue last week? Here are 2 people at least!
