I have made a little progress. By troubleshooting many wired computers, I discovered one of my 1GB Netgear switches needed a power cycle reset. I am now getting the expected 230 mb download speed.
I still have not reconfigured my router after resetting to defaults.
I have tried upgrading firmware from 1.0.11.126 to 1.0.11.136 again. Again, it starts, runs for about 15 seconds. The stops with a session closed message. Note, at this point a speed test drops to 4mb download. So, the firmware update is crashing my R7000. I then reset the router and I am back to 230mb download.
The check for downloading a firmware update does not find any new firmware, Yes, I have already downloaded the firmware from Netgear. I just browse to locate it with Edge, then try to upload.
Yes, everything is wired.

Browse from what? The browser graphical user interface (GUI)?
