R7000 Firmware

The latest version has been pretty solid. 

If both .42 and the .136 version have had the same issue, I wouldn't suspect the firmware. 

I'd be more thinking interference or hardware failure if its specific to one band.

    And in the case of an equipment replacement, what would you advise me? Not necessarily from the netgear brand 😉

    I had good luck with v.134 with my R7000 when i had it online last year. Worked well:

    Might go thru this and see if the configuration I used help. I use manual channels and Smart Connect is enabled along with Beamforming and MIMO. 

    I also keep a laptop cooler fan running under any router I put online.

      After you perform a firmware default reset, you will have to set the configuration of your R7000 back to AP mode.

      What would be the exact procedure for this update?

      this one looks good to you?

      Unplug my box from the router
Unplug my box from the power supply

Hard reset of the router
Router update
Hard reset of the router
Router configuration
Turn off the router

Connect the box to the power supply
Wait for it to start up completely
Connect the router to the box
Restart the router

      And if you had to advise me a replacement router, which one would you recommend? (not necessarily netgear by the way)
