THen, you recommend this firmware version? (134)
What would be the exact procedure for this update?
this one looks good to you?
Unplug my box from the router
Unplug my box from the power supply
Hard reset of the router
Router update
Hard reset of the router
Router configuration
Turn off the router
Connect the box to the power supply
Wait for it to start up completely
Connect the router to the box
Restart the router
And if you had to advise me a replacement router, which one would you recommend? (not necessarily netgear by the way)
Thanks for your help

I am also advised to turn to wifi mesh.
Not knowing anything or not much about it, I understand that for "efficient" wifi mesh, i have to choose "tri-band".Thank you for your help and your opinions

Your not going to get much on other manufacturers since this is the netgear forum.
Your best bet is to read a few reviews and blogs where they actually test them.

I do not know where your advice or understanding is coming from. The tri-band part is suspicious.
To cut through bad advice and marketing hype, an outstanding reference document can be found here:

Do not try to digest it all at once. Pick your topics. There is a section on tri-band.

Whom told you to turn off MESH?
MESH only comes in certain router systems, Like NGs Orbi or MK systems, are MESH systems. Router with remote satellites for extended coverage though out the home. Other NG routers like R, RAX RAXE and XR series are NOT MESH systems nor support MESH features.
You don't have to have tri band for MESH though it has it's advantages. NGs MK60 series is a dual band MESH system, not tri band. MK70 and 80 and Orbi systems are Tri-bands. The 3rd radio is mostly a dedicated wireless backhaul connection between the router and satellite.

Oh so true.
Treat it with extra suspicion if it came from the ISP's tech support. They will cook up any story to pass the buck back to the user and their equipment.

Hello,
after my problems with the latest version (136) I downgraded the firmware to version 1.0.9.42.
With this version, I still had some strange problems.
- My printer connected well to the router's wifi, got an IP address from my box, but was not visible on the network (no ping)
- 2 "special" devices (alarm interface and boiler interface) were not working at all.
- The rest was working properlySo I made an update to the "last" version proposed on the web interface of the router (1.0.9.88) without hard reset before or after the update.
After this update, everything seems to work correctly.
I will wait a little while before rejoicing.
If I encounter problems again I will try to update to more recent versions (126, 128, 130, 134)I am surprised to have encountered problems with 1.0.9.42 which seemed to be the most secure, while 1.0.9.88 is not necessarily unanimous.
I keep in mind the RAX30 solution that I had also spotted just in case.
As well as a solution based on wifi meshThanks again for your advice and help.
