Possible that the router's usb port can not handle the current that the attached drive needs does it have a external power supply connection port on the drive?

This USB device doesn't require power supply as it's just a small USB. Please see its spec from the official site: https://www.sandisk.com/home/usb-flash/ultra-fit-usb.
I have seen posting about this type of issue before try the drive on the usb 2 port and see if happens again.
