R7000 keeps dropping wifi connection

My Nighthawk Router R700 keeps dropping signal. I've rebooted it, reset it and checked for updates. Still having problems. I've even done this with my modem.  These are brand new, only 3 1/2 months o...

I tried 1.0.9.42 and several other Netgear stock firmwares.  All same result WIFI 5 GHZ is completely unstable, drops connections, have to reboot the router to get to come back to life.  I finally flashed Fresh Tomato as a last resort before replacing the router.  Been up and stable for 4 days with no issues.  Netgear needs to fix their crappy firmware.

What is Fresh Tomato? How do I get it?

      Thanks so much MichaelKenward. Sorry but I am a little ignorant on this stuff. I see that the ARM is recomended for the R7000. When I click on it, there are 4 other folder that open up and I am not sure where to go from there. Can you please walk me through it? I would sincerely appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks so much!
