R7000 Need to Open Closed ports
I need ports 80 and 443 to open to be able to have my Arlo base station access my network. It looks like Ready Share is using these ports (they are closed when I check on https://ping.eu/port-chk/. ...

Who told you that?
It isn't necessary.
Just plug the base stations into the network. No faffing around deeded.
Been there. Done that. Currently sitting here with two Arlo hubs on the network. Never had to change a thing. Just took then though the setup process.

Thanks and it did work before we got a new cable modem. I have been trying ever since to get it online. Lights go from Amber to Blue, from amber to Blue, and on and on. Thought I needed to buy a new base station, but that is what tech support came up with.
- microchip8Dec 08, 2023MasterWhat is this modem? Is it also a router+modem with a bunch of ethernet ports on the back?

Do you mean it flashes blue and amber in a sequence?
Which hub is this?
I have a raft of hubs/base stations going way back. (Beta samples.) They all work.
Unless it is a hardware failure, I'd look at your router and its basic settings rather than any fancy port settings.
When you switched to the new modem, did you reset and reconfigure your router to get it to accept the new network settings from the modem? If you don't want to take that nuclear option, run the router through the Internet Setup Wizard.
Have you sought help in the Arlo community?

- BlozlolaDec 08, 2023AspirantNo sequence in lights. Yes I have Ben extensively on with Arlo support. And, I reset everything. Nothing worked. I called Spectrum and they said it would be the WiFi router that would block the connection. Since it is 5 years old I just bought a new NETGEAR - Nighthawk AX4200 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Router. I hope this new one works with the camera base station! Also the old one works for everything else. Is there somewhere to donate/recycle the old one?

They are usually ignorant and insist on passing the buck. "It is your router" is a common refrain. 99 times of of 100 that is inaccurate advice.
Yes I have Ben extensively on with Arlo support.Arlo official support of the Arlo community? Like this place, the community can be a better source than the official support team.
...I just bought a new NETGEAR - Nighthawk AX4200 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Router.Which one? AX4200 isn't a Netgear model.
AX4200 is not a unique Netgear model number. Many devices come with the AC/AX tag, but it is essentially a label that Netgear, and others, attach to hardware to describe wifi speeds.
Look at the label on the device for the Model Number. And, if there is one, include the "V" bit to show the hardware version. If there is no V number, then you have V1.
