R7000 Nighthawk in AP mode blocking UDP port
I have an R7000 Nighthawk installed in AP mode. There is a UDP port blocked that I need opened but I see no way to configure that. When I put my old AP (other brand) back in place of the nighthawk, th...

Yes, the port forward setup is disabled when in AP mode. So, how do I get the unit to not block my UDP traffic to port 1434?

Port Forwarding is not supported in AP mode. Any blocking of ports will need to be configured at the main host router that the R7000 in AP mode is connected too.

That's the problem. The Nighthawk is blocking my access to the port forwarding and I don't have access to anything to correct this. So, how do I get the Nighthawk to not block my traffic?

In AP mode, the R7000 is attached to a router. As FURRYe38 says, the sort of thing you want to achieve is down to the router.
So, forget about tweaking the R7000, investigate how to do things in the unnamed main router in your network.
If you have problems, go back to your initial request:
There is a UDP port blocked that I need opened
Explain what it is that you really want to do – like getting a particular gadget to work – and maybe you will get better answers.

Let me state my issue again in a different way. I have a network that consists of a router and some devices in building #1. I have a radio link between building #1 and building #2. In building #2 I have an access point used to connect the devices in that building to the network. There is a computer running an application in building #1 that listens on UDP port 1434. I have a second computer in building #2 that runs the same application and talks to the computer in building #1 over UDP port 1434. This was all working fine until I upgraded the access point in building #2 to a Nighthawk R7000. I now get a timeout message on the computer in building #2 indicating it is having problems communication over UDP port 1434. If I put the old access point back in service, everything works the way it should. So, the problem seems to be in the Nighthawk. What do I need to do to get my UDP port 1434 traffic to flow through the Nighthawk that is configured as an AP? Other network/Internet traffic seems to be flowing fine.
