This firmware version has a lot of issues, as do the past few releases. For the R7000, it is recommended to run the .42 firmware, which is the last known "working" one.
Go to https://www.netgear.com/support/product/r7000.aspx#download
and click on the "View Previous Versions" plus sign on the lower left, Get the .42 version, flash it and do a factory reset then reconfigure from scratch

What do you mean by Flash it? I updated my R7000 and the thing quit working. NOTHING. Called Netgear support and they were terrible. Wouldn't help me at all. They wanted me to pay $140 USD for something that their update caused. It was working perfectly until the update.

A poorly chosen term, probably meaning "load the firmware".

How, exactly?

What, exactly, does "NOTHING" mean to you? LED indicators all dark?
"NOTHING" is not a useful problem description. It does not say what
you did. It does not say what happened when you did it. As usual,
showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error
messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
descriptions or interpretations.
If there was a failure when you updated the firmware, then you may
see a flashing Power indicator. In such a case, all router functions
may fail, and you might be a candidate for the TFTP recovery scheme.
See, for example:
