You should know that this is an ageing router, from 2017. Nothing wrong with that, but if you modem is also a router, it may have better wifi that the R7000.

All the info I find it was released in 2013. Even worse.

That threw me. But I checked the manuals and other documents. The oldest manual says 2017 as does the data sheet.
Then again, we all know that Netgear's maintenance of its documentation is erratic.
the manual do show that but when you check all the ddwrpt/open-wrt wiki's it shows release data 2013.
And the reviews from release for it at from 2013.
Maybe they did a big update to all the manual in 2017 or something.
