R7000 Router Open VPN Server with No-IP

I recently set up my AC2300 router to be an OpenVPN server. I used No-IP to create a new DDNS domain name.  I wish to access my home internet connection from the remote location where I am now. I have not yet installed the OpenVPN client software on my computer. I happened to just type in my new No-IP domain on my browser and was surprised to find my self looking at my home network's Login Page for my NAS. Somehow I has bypassed any kind of Netgear firewall and was inside my home network remotely without any sort of security (User Name/Password). Basically it means anyone who knows my new domain name can access devices on my home network! That does not seem right. Did I do something wrong?

Probably should check with the OpenVPN and No IP address folks to see what maybe allowed thru the router if you set those up. I presume that if you removed those configurations, then you wouldn't be able to get to the LAN side of your network from the WAN side.

What type of service did you subscribe to with No-IP?

Within the VPN configuration on the router, you should have used your domain name as well as your No-IP user name and No-IP account password.
