Ok so I put almsot 2 hrs into this and heres the curent status. For whatever reason I was not able to update the QoS datbase until after I did a full factory reset. The option to do so simply wasnt there. I will say though that after the resest I was only able to see the "update" option for the QoS Database when switching the QoS feature on and off. Also I did multiple speed test durign the process both wired and wirelessly on my laptop, phone and tablet. SO When I did the factory reset it did roll the router to an older firmware (forgive me as I cant rember what version it was, but it did instantly update itself to the 1.0.9.10 right away, then I updated the QoS Database. When connected via ethernet cable (laptop only) my speed was consistleny over 170 (im paying for 150), no matter the firmware version or QoS Database. With just the New Firmare after factory reset My laptop was the only one that wirelessly would consistenlty get to 170-175. But iPhone7 and iPad Air2 only got to 90-100. This is an improvement from the initial update. After the QoS update I was now getting a consistent 150-155 on both phone and tablet. Agian this is an improvement. So just as a gee wiz I reloaded 1.0.9.6 and just like that all devices were back gettign consistenly over 175 and up. QoS database is updated. So for now I believe updatign the QoS Database was very helpfull when working with the newest Firmware. But somethiing is still not correct. So will give it some time before I try 1.0.9.10. agian.

Did anybody tried the latest firmware 1.0.9.12?
I see that this is dated 10/09/2017
Does that mean that it arrived on 10th September or the 9th October?
If the latter, it is clearly a new release.

Let latest Firmware version 1.9.0.12_1.2.23 has SOLVED my speed issues. Both Upload and Download speeds are back up to full speed. Thank You ElaineM for posting that a new firmware version was released. The email notification generated from that post let me know it was available.
