R7000 SLOWS WAY DOWN with Firmware 1.0.9.10 went back to 1.0.9.6 problem solved. Hold off on update
Just updated the Firmware of my R7000 to the latest 1.0.9.10 from 1.0.9.6 and it cut my download speed from 178MBps on all my devices ( MacBook Pro, iPhone7, iPad Air2) to less than 80MBps. Full pow...

Have you tried to manually type the speed of your wifi in the QoS setup menu?
As others has eluted to, having QoS disabled, seems to not mean 100% disabled, as the wifi speeds are still affected when updating the QoS database. I don't currently know if this is a firmware bug or not, but seems we can not ignore the QoS feature, regardless if we have it disabled or not. So I suggest to play around with it.
Especially people on +400Mb connections might wanna try manually type in their speeds in the QoS menu, as the default/automatic settings may not work optimally for them! ;-)
And then please let us know your findings! :-)

Hi Mr_DJ,
I have tried to set it manually also.
My internet speed is 400 mbps download and 40 mbps upload.
With the new version 1.0.9.12 I only get something like 270 mbps.
I also reset it to default factory. Nothing helped.
The highest speed is with firmware 1.0.7.10_1.
I am now back on the old firmware.

Antonio_Cardile: I had the same experience (or even worse) .... I also have a 400 / 40 connection .... after moving to 1.0.9.10, it dropped to around 155 .... rolled back to 1.0.9.6 and it improved to the mid-200's .... then went back to 1.0.7.10 ... after doing so, I was back to 400+. So hopefully, they can get a "new" one out that won't choke the speeds down.........
