A couple of things here...
- Are you on Windows 10 and did you get an update for it since the last time you printed?
- Do you get ANY error messages and if so what were they?
- Do you see the printer connected on the Router?
- I'm assuming the printer has a screen and a Network Option, what does that show, IP Address, connected or not?
- Had you tried using the HP tools, such as the HP Print and Scan Doctor? What happens when you do?
- I assume you meant the USB cable connected to the R7000 USB port? Does it show on the USB tab?
- Can you try connecting to a USB port on a PC and see if the printer work?
- Did you RESET the router after installing the last firmware?
- Have you tried re-installing the older firmware to test and see if the printer works there?

Thank you all! Following the advice given I once again uninstalled the printer, went thru the process of reinstalling it. It showed it was connected to the network but was unable to communicate with the printer. I noticed this time if I was unsuccessful on the installation to click to send this error report to HP. Upon doing so, HP said there was a fix. The software was not able to communicate with the router's firmware.
The fix was to Unplug both the router and printer. Plug the router back in, then the printer. Restart the PC, and all is well.
Thanks for your help and time!
