R7000 Sudden Death - radio lights out; ethernet ports all red/purple, can't reset, no HTTP response.
Disappointing. After only 4 years my Nighthawk R7000 died suddenly. The reset button is inoperative. I can't connect to it using an ethernet cable connected to an isolated computer. Both the 2.4 ...

You could try recoving it via tftp
are you on windows? if so, follow this guide
https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP
just make sure you enable tftp
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-tftp-windows-10
and here's a video walk through.

and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash

No Joy - unable to connect to the router
and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash

I also tried that. After installing the required support program for NMRFlash, NMRFlash was unable to locate the R7000 router plugged into the ethernet port of the computer.
I appreciate all your suggestions, but I think this router is toast.
- plemansJul 29, 2020Guru - Experienced UserIt was worth a shot. by chance to you have a spare/different power supply that you own? I wouldn't buy one but if you had a matching (same voltage and at least the same amperage) it might be worth trying. power supplies have been known to go bad.
