R7000 Web Interface forces PW change and repeats/stuck in loop. Cant log in.
R7000 has reached a point the past few weeks where it drops wifi and i have to power cycle to get it back up. I finally attempted to log in and see if i can reload firmware or something to fix it, but when i put in the 192.168.1.1 in my browser, it prompts me to chaange the password. So i do, and i select new security questions, which are accepted. When i click "Log in", it takes me back to the password reset screen again. over and over.
Troubleshooting so far: Nighthawk app works fine. Says no firmware updates available. Ive done factory reset twice and reconfigured the router using the app both times. Still no success with the browser.
I guess if the Wifi remains stable after the factory reset, its not a big deal. My concern is the Wifi drops and password reset loop may be symptoms of a corrupted system.
Firmware version: v1.0.11.116_10.2.100
did you try a different device or browser?
Also, when you changed the password, did you hit all the requirements for the "password requirements"?
I've seen it where it didn't hit all the requirements but was changed but then wouldn't accept the password (bug).

Factory reset and setup with a wired PC and web broswer. Walk thru the setup wizard. This time write down all important information for safe keeping later on.
The second time i did the factory reset, i did the wizard setup with a wired connection as you suggest. One of the very first steps in the wizard is to change the default password. I changed it and when i clicked "Log In", it did the exact same thing and took me back to the Change Password page. I cannot get past the Change Password part of the wizard.
