R7000 Wifi issues
My R7000 wifi was giving me 50+ Mb/second. When I upgraded my service from my isp to 100 from 50 my wifi went down to ~38. Tried to reset. Played with channels. No resolution.

Just had a brain storm and turned off the modem's wifi. It was interfering with the R-7000 right next to it. Thank you for your guidance.

Wired is about 98 wifi around 30. I rebooted in order to try to see if that would work.
The provider changed my modem but the wired rate is up there.

Both 2.4GHz and 5GHz band has same slow speed? Are you using WPA2-AES protocol? WMM enabled? How far is the device from
router?

2.4 slightly slower.
Using WPA2-PSK
dont know what WMM is.
using a five foot cable very close.

WMM stands for wireless multi meadi. This should be enalbed in the Wireless set up section on the router. Some times on newer router it is called video network. No I meant how far your WiFi device from the router. Do you use inSSIDer or Acrylic WiFi survey utility? Acrylic is freeware. Download and run it, then you can see the signal strength measured by db. If signal level is below optimum speed will drop. On 5GHz
band choose higher channel like 149, 153.... On 2.4GHz band choose most quiet channel according to Acrylic to minimize interference from
your neighbor's signal. At least your WiFi speed should be about ~60% or wired speed.
