    I tried all the options given on different forums but no luck.  Netgear support gave me beta V1.0.5.49_20151208_timesync firmware which fixed the issue.

Hello madmoggies. I think I can assist you with your router's issues. Do you really need the ultimate features of your router? Until Netgear release a new FW version, you can upload the FW version R7000-V1.0.3.80-1.1.38. Of course you won't have all those new things available, but you can solve your problem for awhile. It helped me until Netgear was trying to fix that. If you want me to help you, just let me know.
