R7000P — Nighthawk AC2300 - Blocking 1000 mbps
Hey,
I have a R7000P router, but i have some issues. I have cat 6 cabels and the router is made to run 1000 mbps, so is my internet. But funny enough, if i plug my cabel directly into where the internet comes from, i get the 1000/1000 speed, but as soon as i plug the router in, and then connect my fairly new gaming pc with my router with a cat 6 cabel. I only get 100/100 mbps, tho sometimes after i restart the router, it runs 1000/1000 which is great, but after 1-2 hours it goes down to the 100/100 mbps. I have downloaded the newest firmware v.1.3.3.154 but that didn't help. I hope some of you can help me 🙂

1. Swap out your cables with new to be certain they are good.
2. Confirm you PC has the most recent drivers for the network port. Drivers can come from different places. The operating system, the computer OEM, the hardware OEM.
3. Check your Windows configuration to confirm your network profile is set for private and not public.
What is the brand name and model number of the modem/ONT connected upstream of your R7000P?
Have you tried connecting your computer to a different port on the R7000P?
