R7000P dead 5GHz radio
Looking for help from someone at Netgear or other advanced users. Thanks in advance.
I have a Nighthawk R7000P that just won’t show the 5GHz network SSID any more. I tried many firmwares, turning off MUMIMO, channels and what not. Also tried dd-wrt where the interface wl1 doesn’t even show up. Now back on stock firmware the 5GHz network never shows, LED is solid white, and in advanced home I see garbage characters in channel. In basic home there is Red Cross behind 5GHz network and both guest networks (rightly so for guest networks).
Does this point to a hardware radio failure? If so, since this is out of one year warranty, am I basically out a few hundred bucks to replace this brick?
FWIW the 2.4Ghz works ok which is how I can post this.
