R7000P firmware update via USB port
I have an R7000P Nighthawk AC2300
All lights are flashing, alternately.
No access to it via WiFi nor Ethernet cable.
I'm hoping it is just a bad firmware update.
Can I update the firmware via USB port?
If so, how?
Also a bit confused on the factory reset, which I have tried... When holding the pin in for 30 seconds, should the power be connected? Power on? etc.
I tried calling Netgear. The suppossed tech support agent told me I have to contact my ISP. Insane! The router is not on any ISP. It is on the workbench, tethered to a computer.
To repeat, cannot access router via LAN nor WiFi.
Thanks

USB is not supported on NG routers.
Contact NG support again and explain to them this is NOT a ISP issue.

Need to press the reset button for 30 seconds then release, then it send to PUT the command and upload the FW.
I had a problem on a Windows 10 PC where this didn't work to use TFTP, so I switched to a WIndows 7 PC and the TFTP worked. If TFTP doesn't work, try:
