R7000P Going bad?

I have been searching for issues with this AC2300 router since a couple of days and can't exactly the same issue.

The issue started a couple of weeks ago, I thought it was my ISP slowing down until two days ago, while downloading a driver update for my graphics card from Nvidia the download was pretty slow, around 20% of what it should be and my desktop is wired, not wifi. Decided to pause the download and connected my desktop directly to my cable modem (a Netgear CM600). And all of a sudden: The speed was back!!

Also noticed that the router increased the latency, at least by 6 times! what should have been 50ms now became 300ms easily if not more, that didn't happen while connecting it directly to my modem.

Decided to try with an old linksys router I had around, at it didn't have latency and slow down issues I have with the R7000P.

Today I reseted the R7000P to give it another shot. It worked well... until maybe after a few hours working the latency increases came back. Perhaps is a heat issue that is affecting the router? :smileyfrustrated:

Firmware: The latest available at Netgear's site, it's installed hanging on a wall. Bought it 1 year and 4 months ago.
