NBN box > Google Nest > R7000P Router mode
If you are using the Google Nest modem and the R7000P in router mode, you can expect problems.
Two routers on your network can cause headaches. For example, you can end up with local address problems. Among other things, the other router can misdirect addresses that the Netgear router usually handles, such as routerlogin.net or the usual IP address for a router, 192.168.1.1.
This explains some of the other drawbacks.
What is Double NAT? | Answer | NETGEAR Support
Unless you have specific reasons for using two routers – to create two separate networks for example – it is often easier to use just one router and then to set up the second router as a wifi access point.
It may be possible to put the modem/router into modem only (bridge) mode and then to use the second device as the router. Sometimes it is easier to put the second router into AP mode. But that has its own drawbacks:
A lot of people use an Orbi system in AP mode, especially if they have a decent router in front of it. Only you know which of your two routers provides the best features for your needs.

R7000P was here before the Google Nest as it was provided by the ISP
Didn't have a problem with the R7000P in router mode until a week ago
Do you advise to set the R7000P into bridge mode?
I use the R7000P because it provides better WIFI coverage and 4LAN ports
which the Google Nest lacks

Not sure what you mean by "bridge mode", a term that gets widely abused and means different things depending on the context. With routers it can mean "wireless bridge", connected back to another device by wifi.
How are the two connected now? If the R7000P is wired to the Nest, then put the R7000P into "AP" mode. That disables the router bit.
How do I change my NETGEAR router to AP mode? | Answer | NETGEAR Support
You will still get the benefits of the wifi and can still use the USB ports on the R7000P.
But you also get these drawbacks:
