R7450 2600 smart
Router stopped working out of the blue, have rebooted, reset, tried new setup, hard reset for 30 secs and all I have is a blinking white power light, won’t change

Last resort would be to see if Recovery works:

Need to press the reset button for 30 seconds then release, then it send to PUT the command and upload the FW.
Make sure you enable tftp: https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-tftp-windows-10
Video walk through using a tftp client. Use the built in one for windows 10 though. the video is more of an example of how its done:

Can access 192.168.1.1 with a wired PC?
Try swapping out the power adapter with another with same volts and amps specs.
if this doesn't fix, router may need to be replaced.

Swapped adapter, no change, when plugging in original power light is solid white, but second light is blinking white but won’t boot the rest of the way

As a suggestion on your new router, regardless of brand or kind, I recommend putting a laptop cooler fan under the router. Helps keep the router cooler and helps extend electronics life. I keep on under mine 24/7. 😉
