R7450 devices do not recognize router

Modem supplied by Spectrum, & they confirm their connections see the Router as available. My laptop does not have Ethernet cord port so that is not an option.
the label on the router should show the default ssid/password you can use for setup.
You can also try factory resetting it in case someone else already set it up.
Push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while its powered on.

thats the default login if you hardwire into the device
- One last thing I would like to ask. When Spectrum was checking the internet, their system was unable to detect the router until I switched out the new Ethernet cord (that came with the router) back to the old Ethernet cord that I used with the older router. Could it be that the modem and the router are incompatible and the modem needs to be a newer one? Thoughts?
