R7450 NAT loopback not working

According to this page, my router (Nighthawk R7450) should support NAT loopback, and the example given on that page is almost exactly what I'm trying to do. I have a web server on my LAN, a static IP, and I just want to connect to the server via my domain.

However, when I visit my domain from inside my LAN, it says it "is unreachable". When I turn on my VPN, I can actually connect fine, so I definitely think it's the router, likely a loopback problem. Any advice?

What firmware version do you have on the device?

A number is more useful than "the latest". (It may not be by the time people read this.) There can also be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware in the browser interface.

It might also help if you told people what the modem is in front of this router, if there is one. The make and model number could be useful. Is it, by any chance, also a router, with a set of LAN ports on the back?

The reason for asking is that a lot of people turn up here trying to put a router behind a modem that is also a router. That can complicate troubleshooting.

      Router Firmware Version
      V1.2.0.92_1.0.1

No other router or modem in front of the netgear router. The WAN cable plugs into a POE adapter (Ubiquti GP-J240-030G) which powers the radio dish on a tower, both from my ISP.
